The Dividend Diplomats were back at it again! Yes, both of us purchased the same company approximately two weeks ago and we wanted to share the purchase article with you. And yes, this is the second time we have both purchased a stock at the same time in 2016. Due to both of being busy with work, traveling, vacations, festivity planning, etc.. we were taken away from writing this article closer to the date of the stock purchases we made. Given that we are both Financial Institution auditors, we purchased a bank that is already friendly in our portfolio – Citizens & Northern (CZNC). Time to cash in those checks for stock! Another month bites the dust! 2016 is officially 33% over everyone! The market began showing signs of weakness towards the tail end of the month and it seems like every dividend investor had a collective sigh of relief. There were two stocks that I have been big fans of for a while that finally had a nice pullback, so they earned a spot on my Watch List. The don’t have the highest yield, but they are all star companies in their industry. Let’s hope the slide continues for Visa and Starbucks. Back to business, now that I have received my final April dividend income summary.
I love this time of the year. Time to sit down in a quiet space with no distractions going on and reflect on the year a bit and then prepare for the successes and even failures of 2016/the next year. 2015 has been an amazing year, big ups and big downs throughout this time period – but that’s how we learn, that’s what makes us stronger and it’s on the pursuit of being happy. Cannot wait for what the upcoming year has in store and obviously will try to make due on my goals that I am establishing for the upcoming 12 months. My 2016 goals are as follows:
In his last purchase article, Lanny alluded to the fact that I may have purchased the same stock as his. Well, Lanny was right and great minds think alike. We have been talking about this purchase for several weeks and we finally just decided to buy it! While my rationale may have been slightly different than Lanny’s, here is why I added to my stake in Norwood Financial (NWFL).
We are now entering December! Gearing up after this one for the FINAL dividend posting and last month + to reach your annual goals. Extremely excited for things coming down the pipeline and dividend income will be looking solid going into December. Now… to the numbers!
It has been some wild ride this month – no doubt. Companies have begun/continued to release their ever so exciting dividend increases and I’m here smiling to receive them, that’s for sure. Some have increased them at a not so high level, some right on where you’d expect and others have had surprisingly nice dividend increases. I’m sadly going to be very conceited and focus on the dividend stocks in my portfolio that have made announcements mid-way through November. I primarily will be focused on the companies, years they have increased, the impact to the portfolio and essentially, bringing it all together to show why we are dividend investors. Okay, enough of this Italian typing away, let’s get to the article.
Another month down. Holy smokes, we are only two months away from 2016. Man oh man does time fly by. Kind of scary when you think about it. Now that October has come to an end, it is time to put together my monthly dividend income summary and dissect one of the best feelings out there…receiving a dividend for doing absolutely nothing. Without further ado, let’s review my October dividend income summary!
