Bert’s October Dividend Income Summary

Happy Halloween everyone!  The fourth quarter started out with a bang and we are closing in on the new year quickly.  I still cannot believe we are closing in on 2017; hopefully it will be as exciting for all of us as it is setting up to be for Lanny.   The end of the month is always the best because it allows us to reflect on the growth we experienced  over the last 30 or so days.  I love seeing what the two of us and the dividend investing community were able to earn without lifting a finger.  Now, it is time to take a look at my October Dividend Income summary!

Realty Income (O) Dividend Stock Analysis – REVISITED

If you want to talk about how fast time flies, here is a perfect example.  I was prepared to re-visit a dividend stock analysis that I thought I performed over Realty Income (“O”) a couple of quarters ago.  When I looked at the date on the original analysis…it was November 2015.  I cannot believe 12 months have flown by that quickly…where has time gone?   Even though I have reviewed the company in the past, I thought it would be a good idea to update the stock analysis I performed considering the recent pullback in price, the fact that they were one of the four stocks on my October Watch List, and the company’s recent earnings release.  A lot can change over 12 months, I think we can all attest to that in some capacity.   So let’s re-run Realty Income through our stock screener.

VF Corp (VFC) Stock Analysis

Today is a stock analysis in an industry not traditionally covered by most from articles that I read and see.  Everyday we put clothes on, go to outlet malls and department stores to look at the new fashion that is available and what new styles are “in season”.  What about if you could own a company that makes these items that the majority of the public wear, day in and day out.  Also, what if they also paid you a very solid dividend?  Let’s check this out…

Seeking YOUR Advice About Buying a House

Last weekend, my wife and I met with a real estate agent to initiate the first step of buying our first house!   In the past, I have written about how we are in no hurry to purchase a house, take on a mortgage, and begin incurring all the extra expenses that we hear about from friends and family.  But, we anticipate the home buying process to be a lengthy process for us as we carefully vet our options to find that perfect house.   This article will be a different style and format that I have had in the past, because I would love to leave it open-ended for a discussion and hear from as many people as possible about this topic.   So please, at the end, share your experience/story!

Why I Can’t Wait for 2017

This morning I have been thinking about “next year”, not in the Cleveland Browns sense where “there is always next year”, but that I am eagerly awaiting what is to come next year.  If you have read my articles, there are probably a few reasons that you can come up with as it relates to next year, but I was hoping to write about them and the impacts that it will have on my life , beginning January 2017.

I Need to Read More

This one is out of left field, I know, but I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently.  It is a phrase that almost everyone states or thinks, but rarely acts on.  How many have you said ….”I need to read more.”  Well, over the past few months, I have been trying to act on this phrase a lot more and follow through with the whole reading thing.   This article isn’t rocket science nor am I sharing the secret to investing or life.  I just wanted to share my experience with you and see if you have any tips to help keep me reading at night.

5 Deciding Factors on an Investment Account for our LLC

It’s been essentially a whopping 24 months since we have monetized portions of our brand and website.  On top of that, our blog has been growing and we have started to earn revenue via Google Adsense and media.net advertisements.  We have built a small nest egg of cash and what would we, the Dividend Diplomats, do with a nest egg?  Invest in dividend paying stocks, of course!  We have a solid cash position and determined it to be the right time to research, investigate and decide on the factors for the right investment account for our Limited Liability Company (LLC).
