You read that tile right! I may have accidentally purchased a dividend stock last week. Long-story short, on Tuesday, April 10th, a trade went through that relates to my lack of paying attention to my own account set-up strategies. Not only did the purchase go through, it happened to be on a day that the market was doing well, so it wasn’t even a timely purchase at all, either! I ended up purchasing $606.00 worth of Citizens & Northern (CZNC) on Tuesday, April 10th. Let’s see the summary below.
The calendar has turned and we are off to the races in 2018. It has busy month and our busy season has been intense. But that hasn’t stopped us from closely monitoring our portfolios and the excitement that is happening in the stock market. We all finished December strong and as a community 39 of us were able to receive of $30,000 of dividend income. It was a record-setting month for a lot of us, including myself. And now that 2018 has started, it is time to keep the momentum going. With one month down, I thought it would be as good as a time as ever to publish my first dividend income summary of 2018. Time to check out my January dividend income summary!
Does time fly or what? With a blink of an eye, February flew by. I cannot believe that we are already two months through 2017! Just when I thought I was coming down with a great system, I realized that I still needed to make contributions into my IRA account for the 2016 year. I still actually am quite a bit away from maxing out the year, but with this purchase, I definitely reached closer to the goal. I love banking and truly am passionate about the moves being made in the industry. I know Bert knows all about this company, and I’m sure the community is starting to also learn a little bit more, hopefully! A few days ago I was able to make a stock purchase back into a community bank stock that I own!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Not only does that mean that the Holiday season has started up, but it also means that November has wound down, with one more month left to go in 2016. The dividends are officially in and I’d like to share, compare and go over the results! Let me put my rake away, from the last fall of leaves, and bring out my November dividend income for the month.
We are rounding third and heading home here. Considering the Cleveland Indians clinched the AL Central Division title this week, I figured a baseball reference to start the article off was pretty appropriate. Let’s see if they can capture some of the same postseason magic the Cavs had during their run in May/June. At the end of each quarter, Lanny and I review our annual goals to monitor our progress towards hitting these marks. If we are on pace…great. If we are off track, well there is still time to make some adjustments despite the fact there are only three months remaining. Time to dig and perform my third quarter goals review.
Two months ago was my last individual stock purchase. The market was showing signs of distress and on Thursday, August 28th, a purchase was made. This has been a familiar face to not just me, but both dividend diplomats and the price was right for an additional purchase. The position I further enhanced was primarily due to industry knowledge, yield and direction financial institutions are heading. Let’s find out why I purchased more shares in Citizens and Northern (CZNC)!
