We are rounding third and heading home here. Considering the Cleveland Indians clinched the AL Central Division title this week, I figured a baseball reference to start the article off was pretty appropriate. Let’s see if they can capture some of the same postseason magic the Cavs had during their run in May/June. At the end of each quarter, Lanny and I review our annual goals to monitor our progress towards hitting these marks. If we are on pace…great. If we are off track, well there is still time to make some adjustments despite the fact there are only three months remaining. Time to dig and perform my third quarter goals review.

Lanny’s Recent Purchase – Citizens & Northern (CZNC)… Again.
Two months ago was my last individual stock purchase. The market was showing signs of distress and on Thursday, August 28th, a purchase was made. This has been a familiar face to not just me, but both dividend diplomats and the price was right for an additional purchase. The position I further enhanced was primarily due to industry knowledge, yield and direction financial institutions are heading. Bert’s Recent Buy – Target (TGT)
I just couldn’t sit on the sideline any longer. For those of you that have followed our blog over the last month, you would have realized that there was one stock I have been fixated on…Target (TGT). It was the number 1 stock on my June watch list for a reason. Over the month, I was patiently waited for the right moment to strike. When I went to buy, the stock price increased. When I wasn’t able t access the internet to actually purchase the stock, the price fell. Finally, the stars aligned as the markets had two terrible days after the Brexit situation. Time to check out why and most importantly, how much TGT stock I purchased this week!
Bert’s May 2016 Dividend Income Summary
May 2016 was the best month of my life…hands down. And it had absolutely nothing to do with investing. I’m sure those that have been following along can guess what happened. Dividend Diplomats Recent Buy – CZNC
The Dividend Diplomats were back at it again! Yes, both of us purchased the same company approximately two weeks ago and we wanted to share the purchase article with you. And yes, this is the second time we have both purchased a stock at the same time in 2016. Due to both of being busy with work, traveling, vacations, festivity planning, etc.. we were taken away from writing this article closer to the date of the stock purchases we made. Given that we are both Financial Institution auditors, we purchased a bank that is already friendly in our portfolio – Citizens & Northern (CZNC). Time to cash in those checks for stock! Bert’s February Dividend Income Summary
Well, well, well. Looks like another month has finally come to a close. We are in the first couple of weeks of a new month, so you know what that means… it is time to post my monthly dividend income update. What seems to be a recurring theme, Lanny beat me to the punch and published his February income summary last week. I want to echo everything the commenters said about his month. He crushed it and increased his February dividend income 43% compared to 2015. That was with KMI’s dividend cut. Congrats on the awesome month Lanny! Internally, I created this competition to defeat Lanny in terms of a dividend growth rate each month. 43% is a high bar to surpass, so let’s see if my dividend income in February grew more than his. Bert’s January Dividend Income Summary
Wow….January just flew by. One giant blur to me. As I take some time to reflect on the month, I realize just how large of a roller coaster ride it was. Whether it was the wild swings of Mr. Market, receiving dividends, or purchasing a couple of stocks (ADM at the beginning of the month and CZNC at the end of the month), I always had something fun and exciting to look forward to. So now, just like every month, I took a step back and reviewed my monthly dividend income summary to see how my income stacked up against the same month in the previous quarter and the previous year.
