Nothing makes me happier than a fundamentally strong dividend growth stock (except for my daughter). Reviewing a company’s dividend payout ratio is critical to determining the strength of a company’s dividend. Over the years, we have figured out the percent range that we consider perfect for the metric. In this article, we will explain the dividend payout ratio, why it is such an important metric, discuss the perfect payout ratio, and create a list of companies that have a perfect payout ratio.
Dividend increases are the name of the game. We invest in dividend growth stocks to earn a GROWING dividend income stream. That is why the two of our are constantly monitoring our portfolios, and potential investments, to see which companies will increase their dividend. Every month, we share some dividend news and discuss the major dividend announcements that are expected to come. Read more to see the expected dividend increases in July.
This article should be interesting. The stock market is just crushing it and there is just not much room for opportunity. You can reach for value, but are you reaching for true value or are you reaching at a poor company that has, what appears to be, strong dividend metrics? I thought to rewind the tape back and really take a hard look at the Dividend Aristocrats. You know, those companies that increase their dividend EVERY YEAR for at least 25 years+? Yes, that is who I am talking about. Therefore, I peeled back the curtain on the top 10 yielding dividend aristocrats out there, seeing their performance and hey – maybe even find some value.
For the first time on this website, I thought it would be a good idea to publish a review of my investment portfolio! Lanny has been doing so each quarter and we are discussing many of these metrics on a regular basis either when together or on the phone. So I figured it would be a good time to sip on a cup of tea (notice no coffee today) and dive into some of the numbers.
Another month is in the books in 2018. It blows my mind that we are almost halfway through 2018. Each month, I do my best to compile a list of companies that are expected to announce a dividend increase in the coming month. While I can’t include every company in the article, I do my best to capture as many Dividend Aristocrats and other companies as possible. Here is the next installment in our monthly series. It is time to see which companies are expected to announce dividend increases in June!
The first quarter is racing to a close here! It has been over a month since my last stock purchase, T.Rowe Price Group, and I am starting to get the itch to buy again! The market has presented a few opportunities that caught my eye over the last few weeks. Here are the three stocks on my March watch list and hopefully you will be writing about another purchase article soon!
I’ve been getting excite to write this post ever since I published my November 2016 dividend income summary. Why? Because December is the BEST DIVIDEND INCOME MONTH OF THE YEAR! Not only do we receive dividends from the majority of companies in our portfolio, but we also receive distributions from our mutual funds. More often than not, the capital gains distributions cause you to fall out of your seat as the number never seems to disappoint, especially when you have been contributing to your 401k throughout the year. Now that it is officially 2017, time for me to perform my final dividend income summary of 2016! Let’s see my December dividend income figures!
