Wells Fargo & Co (WFC) Stock Analysis

Banks.  BIG Banks.  This is one industry in 2016 that has not taken off/sky rocketed or have said – even with negative evidence troubling the world we are going to appreciate.  This is one of the industries that has looked in the mirror and said – oil, world crises, earnings, and other economic factors do play a toll on my business and our price will reflect that.  As the S&P is slightly up for the year, one company is down 13.39% year to date.  Let’s find out the Dividend Diplomat Stock Metrics over… Wells Fargo & Company (WFC).

Bert’s March Dividend Income Summary

No everyone, this is not an elaborate April Fools joke.  I am actually posting my dividend income article before Lanny this month.  Somehow, some way, he has always managed to publish his article first.  Well not so fast my friend!  I am ready to roll here and review my March dividend income.   The final month of every quarter is always my favorite because a large percentage of companies pay their dividend in this month, so each day is action packed.    It really makes each day exciting!  Let’s take a look and see how much dividend income I received this year and how it compares to the same month last year.

5 Reasons I Am in No Hurry to Buy a House

My fiance and I have been joking around about this (well, mostly me) recently.  When you talk about your wedding with your friends and family, there seems to be three questions that always enter the conversation.    Where is your honeymoon?  When are you having a baby? And when are you going to buy a house?   I love the questions and have a great time talking about them.  I just think it is funny how they always seem to come up!  I’m sure most of you out there that have gotten married know exactly what I am talking about.  The first two are easy answers, and unlike DivHut, you won’t be reading about a Baby Diplomat dividend growth investing fund anytime soon.   The purpose of this article is to focus on point number three, when are we going to buy a house?  I spoiled the suspense with the title of the article, so let’s take a look into why we are in no hurry to purchase a house after our wedding.

Why I Haven’t Purchased a Stock in 30 Days

30 days everyone.  It has been a long 30 days since I have purchased a stock.  An investment.  A bridge stone to financial freedom and it feels… well, there really isn’t one word for it.  It is weird, fast and unusual, to say the least.  As I sit and see the calendar continue to gain momentum towards, now, the end of March, I sit back and think, whoa, it’s been over 4 weeks since an investment move has been made.  Why?  Here is what I was able to come up with.

Should I Sell my First Energy (FE) Stock?

Oddly, this isn’t the first time this thought has popped in to my mind.  Last year I wrote a piece title “3 Reasons I Would Sell a Stock.”  The listing was created to help me identify holdings that have fallen out of favor in my portfolio or have not performed.  After elaborating on the 3 reasons I would sell, I reviewed my portfolio for any stocks that met the criteria.  Any takers on guessing which one of the stocks that was discussed in the article?  First Energy!  Shocker, right?  After one heck of a run by the stock that has brought me close to break even, I now find myself asking the question again.  Is it finally time to sell my stake in First Energy?

T. Rowe Price (TROW) Stock Analysis

Ah.. Mid-February.  The markets have been on another Cedar fair’s rollercoaster ride and we’ve been buckled in feeling the stomach drop… while going through winters that are warm with no a sign of snow to the normal brutal Cleveland winter of a “snowmagheddon” for a great way to put it.  With the market “swoons” we all sign into our brokerage accounts to see what our balance is, what dividends have been received and what new stocks have popped on our watch list.  Then it hit me – what about doing a brokerage service stock analysis?  We are due to write one and this one felt… right.  To the analysis my friends.

Recent Buy – Pfizer (PFE)

I couldn’t sit on the sidelines too long.  After a strong month of purchased in January, which saw me add to my current stakes in  ADM and CZNC,  I wanted to keep the momentum rolling.  At the end of my January dividend income article, I mentioned that I purchased a stock but haven’t disclosed the purchase yet to the community.  Well, that is about to change.  Last week I unloaded some capital and purchased a stake in Pfizer (PFE).  Let’s see why!
