Bert’s Q3 2017 Goals Review

Three quarters down, one to go.  2017 is rapidly coming to a close.  October is one of my favorite months.  My wife and I love the fall weather, playoff baseball is back, and some of my favorite holidays are right around the corner.  If you recall, at the end of December I set five goals for myself.  I knew some of the were stretch goals, but it has been a blast aiming for them anyway.  Each quarter Lanny and I review our goals to check our status and see what possible changes may need to be made.   Let’s jump in an perform my Q3 goals review.

Lanny’s Q2 2017 Goals Update

The first six months definitely have been fun, interesting, lessons have been learned, passions explored and a renewed focus has developed.  I cannot wait to look at the half of the year coming up, sort of in a “the glass is half full” kind of way.  Learning more about yourself/oneself in a much more rapid pace, but still focusing on the areas that make me happy, as well as the true goal of financial independence.  This quarter marks another quarter closer to these goals and I’m excited to talk about what progress was made.

My Annoying $100 Loss

Over the last few weeks, my wife and I have been dealing with a slightly annoying situation at our home that in total, has put us about $100 in the hole.  Usually on this site, our non-stock annoyances are a result from the expenses of owning a car or some service provider unexpectedly increase their bill.  Not this time though and unfortunately, my wife and I had to bite a $100 bullet and accept the loss.
