Well, I just finished plowing my driveway, and I definitely had to, in order to even be able to pull into my driveway. We didn’t have really any snow until last night, let’s just say winter has come by with a roaring hello! As the coffee is brewing and I am setting up my organized area to focus on writing, the stock watch list has come to mind. I have been monitoring high quality dividend stocks since the election and I am currently making my list and checking it twice, trying to find out which stocks on my watch list are naughty or nice. Come on in and check them out!

Bert’s November Dividend Stock Watch List
Lanny said it best, the post election stock market has been crazy. A lot of industries that have been trading at a discount, financials and REITs for example, have soared while other stocks that have traded at highs over the years are approaching buy-able levels again. Recently, I was able to knock out one of my 2016 investing goals by crossing $3,250 in projected dividend income; now, I have another goal in sight….investing at least $20,000 in “New Capital” into the market. I’m ready to keep the pedal to the metal and take advantage of some more opportunities that Mr. Market has presented us. Time to check out my November Dividend Stock Watch List!

My Not-So-Glorious Cable & Internet Battle
Having cable is a hot topic in the personal finance community. There is one camp that consists of people who have been able to cut the cord and slash their cable, ditching traditional cable, and subscribing to a streaming service like Netflix. And the other camp, which I find myself in, have been unable to cut the cord because they like their traditional package and live sports too much! Well, last month, my cable contract expired and my rates were set to jump. I was torn in both directions and this was the closest I have ever come to cutting the cord. I wanted to share this experience with all of you…check out my last battle with my cable and internet provider.

Bert’s August Stock Watch List
Earlier in the week, I crossed a big investing milestone….crossing $3,000 in forward dividend income. It took me 15 months to jump from $2,000 to $3,000 and at the end of the article, I challenged myself to hit the next milestone in half the time. To get there, I better get moving quickly. What’s the best way to increase your dividend income? Not a trick question here, but purchase stock! I thought it would be a good idea to do some research this evening and put together a small watch list of stocks that have caught my eye. Here it is, my August stock watch list.
Crossing $3,000 in Projected Dividend Income
What a journey it has been so far. Last week, after a sudden drop in earnings, Target’s price fell and I swooped up an additional 30 shares of the major retailer. Now, I own 80 freaking shares and couldn’t be happier. But the good great news didn’t stop there. No, that investment also put me over a milestone that I have been eyeing for a few months now. This last purchased pushed my forward dividend income over the $3,000 mark and you know what, there is no turning back now. How did I get to this point? Let’s take a look!
