Here I am sitting on a Sunday early afternoon, thinking of what post to write. I am currently updating my actual expenses for the month, after coming home from the Grocery store, where I spent $27.76. I looked at my portfolio, reviewed articles online, took a sip of my coffee and thought, what the heck am I doing? What is in my surrounding to inspire me to write a post that can attract readers, get people interested and showcase a passion of mine. I looked in the mirror as I was brushing my teeth and noticed the grey in my hair. Then.. it hit me.

Interview with Ben at Sure Dividend
At the end of 2015, we began conducting interviews with others in this wonderful community. One of the best part about it all is how willing everyone is to share their knowledge and encourage each other to become the best investor they can be and reach financial freedom as soon as possible. Our first two interviews were Dividend Hustler and Tawcan. Both their stories were fascinating and it was great learning about them! So now, here comes interview number three. Let’s all take some time and get to know Ben, the founder of SureDividend.com!

Bert’s Final 2015 Goal Review
Over the last few weeks, we all have spent many hours preparing tough/challenging goals for the year ahead of us. Why not? It is fun and exciting to think about the future and map out where you want to be a year from now. Before I fully shift modes and focus on knocking out my 2016 goals one by one, I figured I should take a cold hard look at my 2015 goals and see how well (or poorly) I performed during the year. Even though it was not articulated as well as it could have been in my article, the results of 2015 were a major influence in setting the table in 2016. So now, let’s have a look at my final 2015 goal review and see where/how I can improve in 2016.

Interview with Tawcan
Last month we announced that we were going to begin an interview series and help share some of our favorite dividend bloggers with the community. We think our first interview of one of our favorites, Dividend Hustler, went really well and hopefully many of you found out why Hustler’s kindness and humor make for one entertaining blog. Couldn’t be happier to have gotten to know Ty. Now, we wanted to interview another one of our favorite bloggers….Tawcan!
Bert’s August Income and Expense Summary
Last month I ended my three-month hiatus of posting savings rates articles and afterwards, I vowed to publish my monthly summary in a timely fashion. One of my goals for 2015 is to defeat the Dividend Diplomats’ Savings Challenge and save 60% of my monthly income 6 times in 2015. Will I be able to recover from my just miss in July, where I saved 56.9% of my income? Let’s find out!
Running on Thin Ice
Running on thin ice – you know exactly what this post is about everyone? I know, very ambiguous and disguise-like, but it’s how I’ve been running over the last 5-6 months. This year has had many events, opportunities and actions that has had me running on thin ice, but for some reason – it’s becoming less and less “scary”. What do I even mean about running on thin ice, one may be asking? One slight cue – it deals with cash. And not simply just cash but… Continue reading
