Diageo (DEO) Stock Analysis

Who owns the No.1 in: Scotch Whiskey, Canadian Whiskey, Premium Vodka, Liqueur, Gin & Stout in the world?  Ever hear of Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, Smirnoff, Baileys, Tanquerray & Guinness.  We sure have and I’ve seen many friends drink these over the course of this past weekend even.  And it got us Diplomats thinking… who owns these guys?  I (Lanny) knew who owned Baileys and it caused the diplomats to get the coffee brewing and to crack open our research madness.

Bert’s July Investment Report

Wow, what a crazy end to the month!  I felt like the last week was filled with can’t miss stock market action.  It seemed like every minute I opened my eyes another chunk of my market value was missing.  But it is okay, the decline has two factors I love: it increases the power of dividend re-investing and it creates new buying opportunities.  Lanny recently wrote about on Friday 4 stocks that he is considering re-upping his position in because of this decline.  For me,  I may finally make my long-awaited move into the financial sector.  I know I will be purchasing something next week; I just don’t know what that stock is yet.  But it seems like Aflac is a very solid potential purchase and may be forcing my hand.  Anyways, before I continue to babble about future purposes, I figured I would review my month of July Investment Report.

Lanny’s July Dividend Income

Now that the hot month of July is coming to a close here in a few days, it’s time to reflect on the past month production from purchases and decisions you make within your investment portfolio.  The production being… DIVIDENDS.  You make decisions based on your analysis to purchase a stock (at least for our scenarios) to receive projected/estimated/declared future dividends.  July was another solid month, let’s see if I crossed the triple digits this month:

Increasing My Cash Flow by Moving & Tips for Minimizing Moving Costs

At the beginning of July I moved into my new place, the second floor of a duplex in an amazing area.   And so far, I love the place (I’ll spare you the boring details about the place).  Not only is the place really nice, another major benefit is that it will also increase my savings account.  Now that I am finally settled in and mostly unpacked, I will finally take a hard look at just how much I will be saving by living in the new apartment.  In this article, I will calculate my monthly and annual savings from moving apartments and will provide tips on minimizing moving costs while furnishing a new apartment.
