6 months have passed! It’s now a quarter end as well, giving us another homerun of a month for Dividend Income. Also, as summer just turned the page to begin, let’s see if brighter sun and warmer weather also aligned with a blockbuster of a month for dividend income!

Bert’s May Dividend Income Summary
What a month it has been. The Cavs began their postseason push, the weather was beautiful, I had a nice vacation to New England, and I received some nice dividend checks this month! What could be better. Over the weekend, Lanny put together a rock solid list highlighting the dividend income received by some of you in the dividend investing community. And I must say, that was one impressive list and it was fun to see how well everyone else performed. It helps me focus and continue to push myself to build income streams as large as all of yours. Some great motivation! Anyways, Lanny left one person off of the list…me. What the heck Lanny? So let’s fix that and see how well I stacked up against myself and others during the month of May.

This month I wanted to take a different approach and create a summary report from all of the blog posts I read this morning related to May’s Dividend Income. I’ll list out the website name, the individual and their May dividend income with a link to their article. Lanny’s May Dividend Income
As time passes, so does a month of collecting dividend income. Five wild months are already in the books and the sun is shining here in Cleveland. Talk about a rarity these days. As spring is upon us, I think, it’s time to see what the 5th month of dividend income was able to bring. Now to the results
Bert’s April Savings Rate Summary
This has been the busiest month for me, by far, since Lanny and I began the Dividend Diplomats’ Savings Challenge last year. I found myself having many new inflows and outflows this month, which can be both a good and a bad thing. The question is, with all of this new activity, was I still able to achieve a savings rate of 60% of this month?
Expected Dividend Increases in June 2015
I alluded to this fact in my article last month, but I have now officially completed a 12 month cycle in my expected dividends increases article! This has been one of our more consistent articles in our one year of blogging and I have enjoyed summarizing Dividend Aristocrats that are expected to announce dividend increases in the upcoming month. Why? Because it has introduced me to many new dividend paying stocks that I never considered before because either the yield is too low or they do not receive the same coverage as your Walmarts, PGs, JNJs, etc. So now that we completed one 12-month cycle, let’s begin a new chapter and review Dividend Aristocrats that are expected to announce a dividend increase in June 2015!
Lanny’s April Income and Expense Summary
As you have come to see from us Diplomats – each month we share our savings from the income and expense we have endured during the previous month. Our goal is to achieve 60% savings rate in an ever inflationary lifestyle from advertisers, television, peers and co workers. Though it is difficult, we know the combination of being frugal, saving and investing allows us to achieve our financial freedom goals faster, by still enjoying the benefits of life itself.
