Bert’s October Dividend Stock Watch List

I’m sitting at my dining room table with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and the fall breeze blowing in.  What a beautiful fall day here in Northeast Ohio.   With a lot of the expenses associated with moving in and updating our house in the rear-view mirror, I’m finally starting to flip on the investing switch again and aggressively look for great opportunities to add to or establish new positions.  I’m inspired by Lanny’s recent dividend income month where he covered over 100% of his monthly housing expenses with his dividend income.   If I want F.I.R.E, I need to go get it.  So today, I sat down and found four dividend stocks that I would like to watch over the next month.  Let’s take a look at my October dividend stock watch list.

Bert’s Fourth Quarter Finance and Life Goals

This quarter I want to try something different.  Sure, I set my annual goals back in December.  Those goals are the big goals that I want to make sure I can accomplish over the course of twelve mounts and  they are supposed to take time to complete (which they definitely are).  However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t a ton of other short-term goals that I want to accomplish along the way.  During the fourth quarter, I want to create some shorter term personal finance and life goals that I also want to complete over the next three months.  Some are large and some are small.   But all will have a meaningful impact if I can accomplish them.

Bert’s September Dividend Income Summary

Is it just me or is 2017 flying by??  I cannot believe that the third quarter came to a close!  This third quarter was an exciting one for my wife and I and I think we spent nearly every free minute we had together fixing our new house, painting walls, packing (and then unpacking), and finally settling into our first home.  It was a stressful process for sure, but man I am excited that it is over.  I’ve been looking forward to reporting my dividend income for September because let’s be honest, who doesn’t like reporting their income in the final month of a quarter when their mutual funds pay dividends?   Now it is time to check out my September dividend income report. dividend income Continue reading

Bert’s September Stock Watch List

After seeing such incredible numbers posted in our latest edition of our monthly dividend income summary from other bloggers in the dividend growth  investing community, I am extremely motivated to invest some extra capital and help push my dividend income forward.  Even though I am working hard to earn extra cash via side hustles to try to pay down our debt as fast as possible, I decided that there was a little room to still invest on the side.  How could I resist buying a potentially undervalued dividend growth stock after all?  This month, I’ve targeted four companies for my September stock watch list.   Let’s see who I am keeping my eye on!

The Diplomats’ August Side Hustle Report

Our third installment of the Dividend Diplomats’ Side Hustle Report.  Each month, the two of us publish a report showing how much income we made from our various “side hustles.”  We talk all the time about how every dollar counts and can make a lasting impact on our journey towards financial freedom.  Producing these reports helps hold us accountable and motivates us to keep increasing the number.  Nothing excites us more than reading about another blogger that is pushing themselves to the limit, so hopefully our August Side Hustle Report can help us pay that motivation forward.

Bert’s August Dividend Income Summary

Where does time continue to go? Seriously, this month was one giant blur.  Finally, my wife and I moved into our new house on the final day in August.  In fact, this is the very first article that I wrote in my new residence!   Life comes at you fast, that is for sure.  With the movers gone, the furniture nearly set, I wanted to take some time to review my August dividend income and see how much our family’s dividend income has grown in the last 12 months.  Let’s check out our August dividend income summary!dividend income

The Millionaire Next Door: Book Review & 5 Takeaways

Here we are. The first book review EVER posted on this website and I could not think of a better book to begin with.  Finally, after many references on other blogs and suggestions in forums, I decided to read “The Millionaire Next Door” by Thomas Stanley, PHD and Willian Danko, PHD.  It amazes me that it has taken me THIS long to read the book, but I guess it is better late than never, right?  One of my goals in 2017 was to read more books, so this seemed like a great place to start.  Here are some of my thoughts on the book.
