It turns out that Lanny was not the only one with an itch to buy. I have been watching the market closely over the last few weeks calculating an entry point for one of the stocks on my watch list, WalMart, when another great dividend stock appeared out of nowhere. Just like Lanny, I couldn’t resist purchasing one of the darlings of the dividend growth investing community. This week, I also invested in Kinder Morgan (KMI).

Mr. Market taking a Turn
Good old Mr. Market. It has been an interesting last week plus, given the overall market condition lately. Greece did not make their debt payment and it felt like the whole stock world shook from the news, as well as other macro events. Thought I do enjoy seeing what is happening from this level, I enjoy it even more when my favorite dividend stocks become discounted throughout the process, yes, yes, even European and Oil companies included. Bert’s Recent Purchases – PM and CVX
Lanny isn’t the only one to purchase stock recently, as I re-upped a stake in one position and initiated a new position in another. Both transactions have occurred over the last couple of weeks and added a nice sum of dividend income to my portfolio. This month has been crazy for me and has been one of my highest frequency trading months since I started investing a few years ago. Let’s see which companies I added!
12/31 Stock Purchase – SLB
So as it turns out, Lanny was not the only Diplomat to get the itch to purchase one final stock in 2014. With the drop in oil prices, I just couldn’t hold off on purchasing a stock with their hands in the oil game, right? So which stock did I purchase? Let’s find out.
Diplomats Weekly Purchase Summary
What another crazy week in the stock market. The price of crude oil continues to slide, causing the price of many great dividend growth stocks to continue to slide. Both Diplomats had extra capital to spend (one much more than the other) to take advantage of the discounts the market has provided us. Which stocks did we buy this week? A few markets, outside of the market as a whole, took a little more of a “goodfellas” beating than others – Canadian Banks, Oil, Mineral/Resource realm.
Dividend Diplomats November Watch List
Wow! We are halfway through November already. I can’t believe it; 2015 is quickly approaching. Each month we have been putting a watch list together to help us and the readers find that next investment. Sometimes the list leads to a purchase and sometimes the stock appreciates so quickly it flies off of our watch list. So which companies are we watching over the next few weeks? Let’s find out!
Bert & Lanny’s Dividend Income Summary October
Another month down in the dividend income books. Monthly I will evaluate and show the results of which companies paid dividends, progress towards the year and comparison to the past. This is a great way to track my dividends to see if I’m on pace for financial freedom. We are changing it up going forward to have both Bert & Lanny’s dividend income summary into one post – to save on postings/focus for the month. This hopefully allows readers to also track and compare Lanny vs. Bert and who is dominating who in the dividend income playing field, isn’t that right BERT?! Now onto our October dividend income results! Time to step up to the plate
