The first quarter is racing to a close here! It has been over a month since my last stock purchase, T.Rowe Price Group, and I am starting to get the itch to buy again! The market has presented a few opportunities that caught my eye over the last few weeks. Here are the three stocks on my March watch list and hopefully you will be writing about another purchase article soon!
This morning, I was updating my portfolio sipping on a nice, warm cup of coffee updating my portfolio with all the madness/dividend income that has trickled in so far in March. There is a reason why the third quarter of the month is everyone’s favorite dividend month, right? After re-reading Lanny’s article about updating you portfolio’s P/E Ratio on a regular basis, I became inspired to review one of the stocks that I have considered selling for a while now. I’ve been debating if the stock still fits the characteristics I look for in a dividend growth stock, so I thought today would be a perfect day to re-run Schlumberger (SLB) through the Dividend Diplomats Stock Screener and see if action is necessary.
Does time fly or what? With a blink of an eye, February flew by. I cannot believe that we are already two months through 2017! With each passing month, it is time to take a look at our family’s combined dividend income total for the month of February now that we are reporting our consolidated finances. 2017 is all about progress, so let’s see the results for the shortest month of the year; time to check out my February Dividend Income Summary!

This post has been a long time coming. Part of the reason I have waited so long to publish the fact that my individual portfolio has crossed the $100k mark is that i wanted to make sure that I was past this mark permanently. Well, I finally reached that point last week and wanted to share with all of you that I had finally crossed $100k and am staring comfortably at a six figure individual stock portfolio. This month, I was back at it again and had some extra capital to deploy with a free trade credit staring my account in the face. So of course I was going to use this as an opportunity to continue building my position in T.Rowe Price Group (TROW) that I started in 2016. What’s funny is I wrote my last T.Rowe Price purchase article on 2/28/16, so almost a year ago exactly! One year later, I was faced with similar facts and made a similar decision. Time to see why I added to my stake!

Lanny and I have talked extensively about our disdain for owning a car, forking over a monthly payment for a depreciating asset, and dealing with all the random costs and annoyances that come with owning a car. Well, a half a year ago, I caused some self inflicted damage to my car and have a massive dent to show for it. This time, I drew a line in the sand and determined I am not spending my hard earned money for the repair!
