Mr. Market you can keep taking that downturn all you want. As long as us Dividend Diplomats have capital and we feel there is an opportunity, we are going to try and strike, in the words of Austin Carr – throw the hammer down. The market was on a nice decline today, came slightly back, but then took another slide in the park for us. Let’s dive in about who, why and how much I bought of a certain stock!

Bert’s July Dividend Income Summary
Man, talk about tough acts to follow. Lanny had one heck month hauling in a crazy $740 in dividend income during this “off” month. Congrats on the great month Lanny! With figures like that, I am setting myself up for yet another defeat in July, which makes perfect sense considering his portfolio is nearly triple the size of mine. However, I have one glimmer of hope this month that can catapult me to fictitious victory over Lanny. What is it? I own more shares of Kraft than Lanny. The question is, will this one-time special dividend be enough to push my dividend income for the month over $740. Let’s find out!
Mr. Market taking a Turn
Good old Mr. Market. It has been an interesting last week plus, given the overall market condition lately. Greece did not make their debt payment and it felt like the whole stock world shook from the news, as well as other macro events. Thought I do enjoy seeing what is happening from this level, I enjoy it even more when my favorite dividend stocks become discounted throughout the process, yes, yes, even European and Oil companies included. With that said there have been more stocks that have Continue reading
Bert’s Quarterly Goals Review – Q2 2015
My goodness, we are halfway through 2015 and man has it been a fun ride. The second quarter was a lot of fun and I felt like the market presented some great opportunities for dividend investors to take advantage of, whether the market had a general pullback from fundamentals or due to the most-recent saga in the everlasting Greek saga. With all the purchases we had, I moved that much closer to accomplishing my goals in 2015 and I closed the gap on some of my largest, most difficult goals. Now that the quarter is over, I wanted to take some time to review my progress and see where I stand and if any adjustments need to be made before it is too late.
The Dividend Diplomats Recent Buy – JNJ
The Dividend Diplomats were at it again! We both had bought the same company on Tuesday June 16th and we couldn’t be any more happier/excited with the purchase. The best part about it, neither of us had any idea we purchased the stock. We just sent each other a message discussing the purchase and it just so happened we set up the same automatic on Sharebuilder. The stock was back down a handful of dollars per share and in this volatile stock market environment, the company was too good to pass up on the price point and with the “legendary” status it has. We bought had made the purchase – an additional allocation and one a whole new stock. We purchased Johnson and Johnson (JNJ). Let’s see why we bought them!
Genuine Parts Company Stock Analysis
Pullbacks in the stock market present some great opportunities in the stock market. Thanks Captain Obvious. When I see the whole market stumble substantially for a series of days, I begin looking to purchase stocks that typically trade at a premium that may now become discounted. To me, that’s how you get the most bang for your buck in this kind of market environment. While I was very close to following Lanny’s lead and purchasing JNJ, one of my favorite dividend stocks, there is still one stock I wanted to analyze to see if it would be a better fit for my portfolio. So now, it is time to dive in and perform a stock analysis of Genuine Parts Company.
