The Dividend Diplomats were back at it again! Yes, both of us purchased the same company approximately two weeks ago and we wanted to share the purchase article with you. And yes, this is the second time we have both purchased a stock at the same time in 2016. Due to both of being busy with work, traveling, vacations, festivity planning, etc.. we were taken away from writing this article closer to the date of the stock purchases we made. Given that we are both Financial Institution auditors, we purchased a bank that is already friendly in our portfolio – Citizens & Northern (CZNC). Time to cash in those checks for stock!

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. Stock Analysis (SWK)
I’m always on the hunt for a new, outstanding dividend growth stock to add to my portfolio or add to my next watch list. So you know what, I decided to perform a stock analysis on the company and see how well the company fit my portfolio. That company is…Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. (SWK). Let’s see how well the company performed when put through the Dividend Diplomats Stock Screener and a few other metrics!

Bert’s April Dividend Income Summary
Another month bites the dust! 2016 is officially 33% over everyone! The market began showing signs of weakness towards the tail end of the month and it seems like every dividend investor had a collective sigh of relief. There were two stocks that I have been big fans of for a while that finally had a nice pullback, so they earned a spot on my Watch List. The don’t have the highest yield, but they are all star companies in their industry. Let’s hope the slide continues for Visa and Starbucks. Back to business, now that I have received my final April dividend income summary.

Recent Buy – Pfizer (PFE)
I couldn’t sit on the sidelines too long. After a strong month of purchased in January, which saw me add to my current stakes in ADM and CZNC, I wanted to keep the momentum rolling. At the end of my January dividend income article, I mentioned that I purchased a stock but haven’t disclosed the purchase yet to the community. Well, that is about to change. Last week I unloaded some capital and purchased a stake in Pfizer (PFE). Let’s see why!

Top 5 Dividend Aristocrats with Low Debt to Equity Ratios
Recently, we saw the ugly side of debt. As we all watched Kinder Morgan’s stock fall and wait for the final, inevitable sword of a dividend increase, there was one thing that became evident…KMI’s debt level was too high and the results were unsustainable in the current market environment (See Lanny’s awesome write up/analysis about KMI from earlier in the week). The pressures mounted and management plus the Board of Directors decided to slash their dividend to preserve cash flow for capital expenditures and cover interest/dividend payments. While debt isn’t a bad thing, I don’t want you leaving this intro thinking that’s my conclusion, runaway/uncontrolled debt can present many problems. The name of our game on this website is investing in stocks with a growing dividend income stream, so we try to avoid companies and stocks that take us off of this course. Which is very ironic considering that Lanny and I purchased shares in KMI just under a month ago (here and here) With the wound from KMI still fresh, I wanted to run a stock screener and identify several Dividend Aristocrats with low debt levels. Check out our newest installment of our Top 5 list series (foundation stocks and low dividend yield/high dividend growth rate stocks)….the Top 5 Dividend Aristocrats with Low Debt to Equity Levels.

Bert’s November Dividend Income Summary
So Lanny jumped the gun a little bit when he posted his November dividend income summary last week. Hey Lanny…news flash….November ended yesterday, not last week. Who knows, maybe he had too much turkey on Thanksgiving and forgot that the month wasn’t actually over. Now that November has officially come to a close and we enter the FINAL month of 2015, it is time to take a look at the dividends received in November and check my progress compared to the previous quarter and year. As a community, we have made amazing strides as evidence through our monthly summary of dividend income from around the community. So let’s see if we could keep the momentum rolling in November!
