6 Months are officially in the books and we are nearing the July month end. 2016 is flying – some highs and some lows, but all are experiences to learn from, that’s for damn sure. There has been a lot of progress, set backs and steps taken forward in order to achieve goals, have a balanced life and new experiences. I set lofty goals back in December of 2015 for my 2016 year and the first 6 months/half year should provide a solid indication if I am on track to achieve the goals established, let’s see the big update!

Crushing $7,000 in Projected Dividend Income
Here we are. June of 2016. It has been a very big year thus far and I have climbed another rung of the illustrious ladder that we are all holding. The steepness to the ladder and the climb up is definitely hard mind, body and soul – but this was never supposed to be easy, and what is the point of going for something if it isn’t a hard road? This has definitely been worth it and I have learned a vast amount of information and simpler techniques on the way… Yes… you read the title correctly, this month events and activities have allowed me to Crush through $7,000 in projected dividend income!
Bert’s Q1 2016 Goals Review
The first quarter behind us. Boy did the stock market take us on a quite a ride for the first quarter. Plenty of stocks to consider/grab in the first part of the quarter and….well…the stock market has not stopped climbing for months. Regardless of how Mr. Market performed, I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on the first three months and see how I am progressing towards the 2016 goals that I set back in December. It is still early on, so I can easily tweak where necessary! Now, lets dive into my Q1 2016 goals review.

Lanny’s Q1 2016 Goals Update
Now that Q1 is long and in the books and we are already more than 3 weeks into April – I thought it would be a great time to reflect on the last 3 months and see where I am in line with my goals. There are 9 months to go and I’m curious if I am seeing any sort of light at the end of this tunnel. Of course, doing a Q1 goals update, also means that another busy season (#5 for me) is in the books and the air becomes more apparent for me to breathe in – all of you accountants – you know what I’m talking about! I set lofty goals back in December of 2015 for my 2016 year and this first quarter has been a blur. With the blur – let’s see if I was able to make out anywhere to make progress.
Dividend Diplomat’s 2016 Blog Goals
Now enter 2016 baby!!! I know this post is long overdue, but we did not want to rush our 2016 annual goals and get them down on paper. These goals will be hard for sure, but what is worth having something if you didn’t have to work hard for it? Almost as if bananas were already peeled and you had to just pick up and eat it… maybe an orange is a better correlation there, but nonetheless, we have extreme goals for our blog. This will mark the year where we cross our two year Dividend Diplomat anniversary and want to make the year very forward-moving. We have quite a few new ideas for posts, twists to our current postings, as well as just the overall jokes between the two of us – this will come to you… ALL YEAR… LONG. Yep, I know you are all excited for us two crazy CPAs trying to find the balance in our pursuit for financial freedom through dividend investing, as well as the bumps, turns, bruises and the occasional bad pasta sauce along the way. Enough of the shenanigans… on to The Dividend Diplomat 2016 Goals!

Bert’s Final 2015 Goal Review
Over the last few weeks, we all have spent many hours preparing tough/challenging goals for the year ahead of us. Why not? It is fun and exciting to think about the future and map out where you want to be a year from now. Before I fully shift modes and focus on knocking out my 2016 goals one by one, I figured I should take a cold hard look at my 2015 goals and see how well (or poorly) I performed during the year. Even though it was not articulated as well as it could have been in my article, the results of 2015 were a major influence in setting the table in 2016. So now, let’s have a look at my final 2015 goal review and see where/how I can improve in 2016.

Lanny’s 2016 Goals
I love this time of the year. Time to sit down in a quiet space with no distractions going on and reflect on the year a bit and then prepare for the successes and even failures of 2016/the next year. 2015 has been an amazing year, big ups and big downs throughout this time period – but that’s how we learn, that’s what makes us stronger and it’s on the pursuit of being happy. Cannot wait for what the upcoming year has in store and obviously will try to make due on my goals that I am establishing for the upcoming 12 months. My 2016 goals are as follows:
