Here we go, here we go! It is finally May and you know what that means….PLAYOFF BASKETBALL! But that’s not what I’m excited about today. One of my favorite part of turning the calendar is taking a few moments to see how I performed in the previous month. After all, we are all obsessed with numbers and love charting our progress. So naturally I LOVE putting together my April dividend income summary. Let’s see the results!

Bert’s March Dividend Income Summary
Wow. What a month it has been. My busy season came to a roaring close, there were an insane number of March Madness upsets, and my personal favorite, baseball season is back! One of my favorite activities each month is sitting down with a nice beverage and aggregating my final dividend results for the month. I tally the results throughout the month, but there is something exciting about finalizing my totals and seeing the final amount of dividend income received and calculating my year over year growth rate. Since this is March, aka the final month of the quarter, this is a very fun activity! Let’s see how I performed this month. Here is my March dividend income summary.
Bert’s Q2 2017 Goals Review
I’m starting to see a trend with the second quarter of each year for me…it is ridiculously busy. In 2016, my wife and I had our wedding. In 2017, we attended a few weddings, purchased a “new” used car, and oh yeah, we purchased our first home! Life truly comes at you fast, and that was a statement that I never truly appreciated until recently. So much can change in the blink of an eye, it makes you realize that you have to make sure you enjoy as much of it as possible before it is too late. With the second quarter in the rear view mirror, Lanny and I take some time to assess our progress towards knocking out the goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year. Bert’s Final 2016 Goals Review
Final dividend income totals have been tallied. Final purchases were made (or not made). Now that the ball dropped and the calendar turned, the book on 2016 is finally closed. A few weeks ago, I published my 2017 investing and life goals so I can hit the ground running in 2017. However, I can’t ignore the fact that I had 2016 goals to complete. I performed quarterly updates to monitor my progress; so for one final time, I will publish my 2016 goals review. Let’s see if I was able to meet my goals in 2016!
Bert’s 3rd Quarter Goals Review
We are rounding third and heading home here. Considering the Cleveland Indians clinched the AL Central Division title this week, I figured a baseball reference to start the article off was pretty appropriate. Let’s see if they can capture some of the same postseason magic the Cavs had during their run in May/June. At the end of each quarter, Lanny and I review our annual goals to monitor our progress towards hitting these marks. If we are on pace…great. If we are off track, well there is still time to make some adjustments despite the fact there are only three months remaining. Time to dig and perform my third quarter goals review.
