Another month is in the books in 2018. It blows my mind that we are almost halfway through 2018. Each month, I do my best to compile a list of companies that are expected to announce a dividend increase in the coming month. While I can’t include every company in the article, I do my best to capture as many Dividend Aristocrats and other companies as possible. Here is the next installment in our monthly series. Adios Auto Loan
This month, my monthly cash flow received a nice boost. Finally, after 60 long months, I made my final payment on this oh-so-beautiful, dented (that I’m never going to fix!), black Toyota Camry! Now, I join Lanny in the “I’ve paid off my auto loan” club!
April Dividend Income from YOU the Bloggers!
With 4 months down, there is one trend that the two of us are seeing everywhere. The dividend growth community is kicking some serious butt this year! Dividend stocks continue to announce strong dividend increases while the consumer staple stock industry is still offering some great value (as evidenced by the fact we both purchased Pepsi this month). One of our favorite activities each month is reading blogger’s monthly dividend income summaries. Why? We both are extremely motivated by the hustle, hard work, and amazing results exhibited by so many in the dividend growth community. Bert’s April Dividend Income Summary
Here we go, here we go! It is finally May and you know what that means….PLAYOFF BASKETBALL! But that’s not what I’m excited about today. One of my favorite part of turning the calendar is taking a few moments to see how I performed in the previous month. After all, we are all obsessed with numbers and love charting our progress. So naturally I LOVE putting together my April dividend income summary. Let’s see the results!
Lanny’s April Dividend Income Summary
One of the best months of dividend income to report. As dividend investors, we love the quarter ends, due to being the most popular month, as well as an even better month for those that have mutual funds and/or ETFs. The busy season is slowly slowing down, gosh I wish it would end, but dividend income always keeps me at least going for the time being.
Expected Dividend Increases in May 2018
Is there anything sweeter than opening up your laptop after a hard day’s work, checking your dividend portfolio, and then realizing that one of your holdings increased their dividend that day? It is such a sweet/satisfying feeling, one that Lanny and I cannot get enough of. We’ve constantly calling and texting each other the minute we find out that our forward dividend increased without lifting a finger! Each month, we try to identify as many companies as we can that are expected to announce an increased dividend in the coming month so we can hopefully share our excitement with some of you! Let’s see which companies are expected to announce dividend increases in May!
Bert’s May Dividend Stock Watch List
The market has been beating down consumer staple stocks lately, which shouldn’t exactly be a surprise to my fellow dividend growth investors. Lanny detailed this trend last month in his infamous “Battle of the Consumer Staple Stocks,“ ultimately showing how some of the best consumer staple stocks are trading at a nice discount. The trend has still continued to this day, which is great because I love consumer staple stocks. This was probably evidenced by the fact that I purchased P&G twice in April! I’m back on the lookout for another purchase as I have some capital to deploy. With the introduction I have written, it shouldn’t be a surprise, but my watch list is going to be heavily focused in consumer staples sector.
