Fall is here, the leaves are changing colors, and we are closing in on the end of a pretty darn exciting month in the market. For the first time in a while, Mr. Market experienced wild swings and presented dividend growth investors with some pretty strong opportunities. The two of us have definitely taken advantage of a few of them, that’s for sure. With the turning calendar, comes the next installment in our “Expected Dividend Increases” series! For those of you that are new to the blog, each month we summarize a listing of companies that are expected to announce dividend increases in the coming month. Since we love following each company’s dividend increase closely, we thought we would share some of the excitement with you. Bert’s Recent Stock Purchases – October – Part 1
At the end of my September dividend income summary article, I mentioned that I was extremely motivated and excited to purchase some stocks in October. Shortly after, I put together a watch list identifying four dividend stocks that were on my radar. It did not take long for me to put some capital to work with some of the stocks on this watch list. When a stock price falls after you add it to your watch list, how could you say no? These purchases were small and frequent due to our free trade credits from Ally Investing, so there will be a few different stocks in this article. Wow. It is the fourth quarter already. It is hard to believe that the calendar is about to turn and the leaves are about to change colors. Expected Dividend Dividend Increases in September 2018
Dividend increases are the name of the game and the two of us are checking every evening to see if one of our companies increased their dividend! And best of all, we love sharing this excitement with each of you via our blog, Twitter Feed, or by other means. For those of you that are new to the website, each month, I try my best to compile a list of companies that are expected to announce a dividend increase in the coming month. While I can’t include every company in the article, I do my best to capture as many Dividend Aristocrats and other companies as possible. Bert’s Recent Stock Buys – Illinois Tool Works (ITW) & WestRock Co. (WRK)
It turns out that Lanny is pretty good at finding undervalued dividend growth stocks. I was such a big fan of some of his recent purchases that I decided to follow his lead and purchase two of the stocks he recently purchased as well. Luckily for me, even though I recently purchased shares of Tyson Foods, I had some extra capital to deploy. See why I initiated two new positions in my portfolio at the beginning of August.
Bert’s July Dividend Income Summary
Another month down. July is always a fun month because it is my birthday month! This year, I finally entered my final year in my 20s and will be enjoying this victory lap before I enter my 30s. The market was interesting this month and there were several weeks where there weren’t any investment opportunities jumping off the screen at me or Lanny. But then the end of the month struck! Bert’s June Dividend Income Summary
Half of 2018 is officially in the books! I am also another year older and have one year left to enjoy my 20s. 2018 has been an investing year unlike any other in the past. There have been a ton of great buying opportunities and companies are providing shareholders with some crazy dividend increases and share buyback programs. Lanny and I are having a blast following the twists and turns of Mr. Market.
