Ah, the best month for being a Dividend Investor. Most companies pay on a quarterly basis in the third month of the quarter and for those that have mutual fund/ETF investments, the dividends and capital gains pour in at the end of the year. Due to the insane amount of dividend increases and with the benefit of consistency from our community, we expect the report below to be mind-blowing and many records to be set. The Impact of Dividend Increases through December of 2018
When talking about dividend increases, this is us talking about dividend investing, at it’s finest! Given another quarter-end had recently passed, I wanted to reflect on what occurred over the last full-year. I do not mean just any old reflection, but I am going to be specifically talking about dividend increases and their impact on my portfolio this year. Tax reform has been rewarding, as companies have been sending portions of the cost savings to their shareholders.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The winter is upon us and the holiday season is right around the corner. It is time to bust out the Christmas Trees, decorations, menorahs, and whatever else you and your families use to celebrate the holidays. I know our house is ready to go! Thanksgiving is over, the first major snow has hit our hometown, and lookout, our Cleveland Browns have finally won back-to-back football games! Now that the calendar is set to turn and we enter the most exciting dividend month of the year, you know what that means? It is time for the next installment of one of our longest running blog post series. Each month, we do our best to highlight as many companies that are expected to announce a dividend increase that month. Since we love dividend increases and follow them so closely, we love trying to share the news with you! We can’t include them all, but we try to hit the major ones. Like Lanny, as he noted in his November purchase article, this has been a relatively quiet month from a purchasing perspective. After a crazy October that saw wild swings in the market and a lot of small purchases, November was calmer as many companies rebounded from that rough October. Bert’s October Dividend Income Summary
Another month. The leaves are changing, Halloween is behind us, and I have officially ate way too much Halloween candy! My wife and I love the fall season and even had a chance to go apple picking before the weather was too cold and make some fantastic desserts with our haul. But that’s not the point of this article, is it? Each month, we like to summarize our results and check out the growth and progress we are making in terms of dividend income.
