July Dividend Income from YOU the bloggers

We first published this article in May and decided to bring it back for another installment this July!  One of the best aspects of the dividend growth community is the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and motivation that assist each and every one of us in our relentless pursuit of financial freedom.  This article will contain a summary of July Dividend Income blog posts throughout the community.   They are in no particular order and if we inadvertently omitted our income summary, please share your results in the comments section and we will do our best to include you going forward.   July was a huge month for the two of us, so let’s see if the dividend investing community shared similar successes!

The Two of Us–  Aided by a special dividend from Kraft, both of us were able to top $700 in dividend income in July.  Lanny received $740 in dividends while Bert received $706 in dividends.  The victory goes to Lanny for this month!

Dividend Hustler$1,804.72 – What a great place to start it off, hustling his way to four figure dividend income in July…are you kidding me.  Great month Hustler .  What’s funny is that I think he received dividends from more companies this month than I own in my entire portfolio (Bert).

DivHut$1,807.34–  Are you kidding me here?  Over $1,800 in dividend income for the month.   Like us, DivHut benefited from the Kraft special dividend.  What is crazy is that his regular dividend was $357, meaning the special dividend was $1,447!  What is even better is that DivHut is also making great progress on regular dividend income as well! Congrats on the amazing month.

Dutch Dividend200 Euros, or ~$219 –  While Dutch Dividend had a great month of dividends, the bigger story for DD’s portfolio was the activity for the month.  DD made some major changes to his portfolio as a result of the Greece situation.  Way to use a major event to take a hard look at your portfolio and TAKE ACTION!

Captain Dividend – $256.50 – A lot of the names on Captain’s list can be found in our portfolio, and that’s what I love to see!  Captain’s July represents a 43% increase form last year in spite of the fact that Walmart paid its dividend in June instead of July.  Talk about some amazing YOY progress.  Keep up the great work!

Dividend Empire$43.49 in empire portfolio and $53.91 in retirement portfolio – nice job!  Dividend Empire is new to the dividend investing game and is killing it.  Every chart in his article shows impressive, exponential growth.  Ken has hit the ground sprinting and will reach financial freedom before he knows it at this pace!

American Dividend Dream – $252.66 – Similar to Captain Dividend above, ADD showed some remarkable year over year dividend growth, nothing an 82% dividend increase compared to last year.  When was the last time your employer gave you a +80% raise??

Tawcan – Special mention here.  Tawcan did not have a dividend income article at the time of writing, but we wanted to take the time to congratulate Tawcan for recently turning one!  It has been a pleasure having you in the dividend investing community and hopefully there will be many other anniversaries to celebrate.

Dividend Gremlin – $78.11 in regular dividends, $559 from Kraft – Gremlin left the Kraft dividend out of his regular income due to the one-time nature of the transaction.  Gremlin realized a 12% increase from July 2014

Roadmap to Retire – 711 CAD, $541 USD –  R2R offers broader passive income update, which consists of website income, dividend income, and any other side hustles.   In total, R2R realized $233 in dividend income.  I love how diversified R2R’s income and it is a goal of ours here one day.  Diversification is huge as we don’t want to be reliant on only one income stream when we reach financial freedom one day.

Div4Son – $127 – D4S had a very busy month, deploying over $8,000 in capital!  I cannot wait to read D4S’s dividend income articles in 2016 because the YOY growth rates are going to be insane.   Congrats on the amazing progress and setting up a very bright future for yourself!

For those of you tallying, in total, the two of us and all the others listed in the article earned over $6,200 in dividend income.  The bottom line here is that WE ARE ALL KILLING IT! We have all made some great progress and strides over the last year and if there is one thing this article shows us, is that we are all making some phenomenal progress towards financial freedom.    Congrats everyone on the great month and keep putting your capital to work so we can retire as soon as possible!
