October Dividend Income From YOU the Bloggers!

Happy early Thanksgiving everyone!  2018 has been such an amazing year for some many reasons.  There is just a lot to be thankful for and hopefully all of use take some time this week to reflect and spend some time with our loved ones.  We definitely will!  Since another month has come to a close and bloggers have been furiously releasing their dividend income summaries, you know what that means…time for the next installment of our dividend income from YOU the bloggers series.   For those of you that are not familiar, each month, each month, we gather as many dividend income summaries from the community to share the results with all of you.    Here is the October version of the dividend income from YOU the bloggers series!

Passive Canadian Income – $368.45 – 23% dividend growth year over year, is something that we all wish we could at least have going forward, I know I wish!  Congrats PCI.

Dividend Dozer – $164.83 – Nice job getting the big divvies from Cardinal Health (CAH and Altria (MO).  I see you are enjoying MO’s 2nd dividend increase this year.  Further, I hope you have reinvestment too, to average down your cost basis, especially for CAH!

My Dividend Dynasty – $429.12 – Massive dividend income from ONLY 4 companies, Medical Properties (MPW), Realty Income (O) and Glaxo (GSK).  I don’t even have words, but 4 companies literally have paid you over $400.  Picture if you added a few more companies that paid out during these months : )  Congrats!

A Frugal Family’s Journey – $366.70 – So close to $400!  You also had 14 companies that paid you, with what could be – your last large one from General Electric (GE) – tough to see them continue to cut that dividend.  Keep allocating more capital to companies, to help offset that lost div income!

Dividend Pig – $641.85 – I see you making triple digit growth rates over there!  Further, you have a three-digit payer in Iron Mountain (IRM), glad to be a fellow shareholder.

Dividend Seedling – $5.40 – Getting there!  Further, you have Realty Income (O) going, so you have a nice little monthly payer going.

Dividend Cashflow – $98.57 – Oh so close to joining the three-digit club in an “off” month.   Altria and General Mills led the charge for you and were major contributors to that 25% YOY increase.

Dividend Deluge – 135.5 Euros – This is Deluge’s first time being featured in the report and it started out with a bang!  Excellent work and results!

Dividend Portfolio – $48.09 – Dividend Portfolio’s income continues to grow at an impressive clip.  Less than two years into the dividend investing game, DP’s trending in the right direction and developing quite the cash flow machine!

Divvy Dad – $1,388.59 – Good Lord!  WOW!  FUSVX really carried the torch!  Congratulations DD, on a 4 digit, off-month spike.  You own a few companies I’ve eyed over the years, with Kimberly Clark (KMB) and Main Street (MAIN).  Keep it up.

Dividend Guy Blog – $109.06 – 4 companies paid you and a growth rate of 300% isn’t too bad either.  Think you can keep it up?

Dividend Gremlin – $95.72 –  You had quite the increase from last year Gremlin.  Realizing those three dividend increases during the month were HUGE for your year over year growth.

Drip TIl Rich – $98.18 –  On the verge of crossing the three-digit mark here in the first month of the quarter.  That 4% dividend increase announced by IRM will certainly help, especially since IRM was your largest payer of the month!

Get Rich Brother – 491.17 CAD – 10 companies paid GRB a large sum of money in October.  On top of it, those Canadian Bank dividend increases are going to go a long, long way!

Dividend FIREman – $643.83 – Another incredible month for FIREman and the firehouse continues to spit out a lot of cash! Best of luck growing that mustache for Movemeber!

Dividends and Hobbies – $429.84 – There are some awesome stats in here.  D&H has received $400+ dividend income in 3 consecutive months and 6 months so far in 2018.  Great job and progress this year D&H!

The Beta Post – $527.15 –  60% YOY growth rate.  Incredible Beta Post.  Those huge dividends from TEL and ASC certainly helped move the needle in October.

Dividend Daze – $49.45 –  Been dazed and confused, for so long it’s not true!    You are about to kick down that $50 door next quarter and blast through.   Excellent numbers once again.

Money Maaster – $472.52 – The DRIP is alive and well for Jordan, filled with an action packed month.  Hopefully your shoulder heals quickly!

Broker Investor – $9.63 –  You may think an 11% dividend increase isn’t significant BI, but we couldn’t disagree more.  That amount is massive and makes a huge difference regardless of the dollar size of the dividends received.

Mr. Free @ 33 – $835.60 – 15% higher than this time last year, which is a pretty darn incredible increase, for October.  Further, at this pace, you’ll be crushing past $1,000 in no time for October.  We share Philip Morris (PM) as our largest dividend payer, as well, for the month.

Divhut – $625.47 – Keith’s incredible 2018 continues and a 21% growth rate is further proof that his strategy is working!  Keep at it DH.

My Financial Shape – $253 –  This is a large amount of dividends to receive from only five companies.  That dividend from Legal and General definitely packed a punch in October!

Engineering Dividends – $547.61 – ED had a pretty cool month, realizing a 21% YOY increase even after disposing of some positions that paid ED a dividend in October 2017.  Think about that adjusted dividend growth rate.

Diligent Dividends – $432.16 –  Remember, this is all for October.  Diligent set a new record by increasing the dividend income received by 517% compared to last year.  You read that right….congrats DD!

Reverse the Crush – $54.10 –  Another new record here!  Back to back baby.  RTC crossed the half-century this mark and continues to post impressive growth rates in 2018.

Money Scrap – $1,201 – Welcome to the post Money Scrap!  While there wasn’t an itemized listing of dividends received in the post, Money Scrap highlight the insane growth realized this year and the fact that an annual goal is about to be accomplished 🙂

Dividend Snail – $292.27 – New dividends received from LEG and PPL led the charge for Dividend Snail this month.  Best of luck with your goal to realize at least a 20% growth rate each month!

My Dividend Pipeline – $376.72 –  5 companies paid MDP an insane amount of dividend income this month.  Those dividends $100+ dividends from TUP and PM….ridiculous.

Dividend Meter – $576.61 –  The meter continues to notch higher and higher.  Seeing your meter over $10,000 after all of these years is pretty freaking cool DM.

Wallet Squirrel – $35.87 – Wallet’s best month yet!  Further, he’s been scooping up shares of Iron Mountain (IRM), which has been a common purchase for many of us!  Keep it up Wallet!

Dividend Pursuit –  $116.40 – Woah woah, over 21 companies paid DP a very solid haul.   DP is working hard to hit his monthly dividend income goal, so keep pushing DP!

Team CF – 586.78 Euros –  Sure, it was a decrease compared to last year.  But the increase in overall passive income will make up for it and as you mentioned on your site, you’re crushing it in terms of re-building your dividend portfolio.

Dividend Quest – $1,040.42 – You said it best.  October was quite the wild ride in the market.  But what makes this even crazier is that you eclipsed $1,000 in an “Off” month and set a new personal record.  Great job DQ!

Desi Dividend – $205.51 –  What a sweet growth rate Desi.  How can you complain about your dividend income increasing by 42% compared to last year?

Dividend Vet – $191.62 –  Now that was one heck of a dividend from PM.  How pumped up were you when you received that dividend increase from them earlier in the year?   Keep up the great work Vet!

Fiscal Voyage – $499.78 –  There are a lot of moving parts to FV’s complete passive income picture.  But what’s impressive is that FV’s dividend increased over 100% compared to last year.

Passive Income Mavericks – $1,220.66 –  Are you freaking kidding?  Amazing results right here PIM!   You are on the doorstep of crossing the $15,000 dividends received mark for the year and will easily crush your goal!

Tall Investing – $324.40 –  Your YOY increase of 24% is incredible, especially given the fact that one of your company’s decreased their dividend 15%.

Dividend Hawk – $2,098.34 – Hawk….YES!  Are you kidding?? Over $2,000 dividend income in an off month.  That is just incredible.  And think about it, you received under $1,000 last October.  Now that’s a dividend growth rate!

Little Dividends – $266.44 – Heck yes!  And we both share Chimera REIT (CIM) in common, but yours is definitely bigger on the payout front.  Keep stacking those dividends!

Money Maaster – $466.88 – WOW!  Almost $500 and what an October you had.  8% growth is very solid, as well, and it’s hard to ask for more – but I am sure you wanted more!  Keep that DRIP going my friend.

Steps2FI – $483.25 – Another blogger closing in on $500 for October, I love it.  Strong growth rate as well AND you are closing in on $10,000 going forward.  Talk about steps to financial independence…

Mr. Robot – 33.99 (Euro) – We share the names of Iron Mountain (IRM), Realty Income (O) and Cisco (CSCO).  I see you have Kimberly Clark (KMB) and I’ve been eyeing them for a while.  Nice work!

American Dividend Dream – $122.93 – There we go!  I see a nice, big dividend from Cisco (CSCO) – what a strong performer they are.  Though you are going through a tough time, know that the community is here for you.  Always.

Total:  41 Bloggers Received $18,555.45 in Dividends in October (depending on the exchange rate used at the time of the calculation)

NICE JOB EVERYONE!  There were a ton of personal records, impressive dividend growth rates, and progress all around.   Think about how great and crazy these results were during the slowest dividend month of the quarter.  Way to knock it out of the ballpark.  Part of the reason we enjoy putting this post together each month is the motivation and inspiration we draw from each individual story and journey towards financial freedom.  When we said 2018 has been an incredible year, we included all of you, the bloggers, in that statement.  You all continue to blow us away.   2019 is on the horizon, so let’s not lose our focus.  Let’s continue to make EVERY DOLLAR COUNT and continue to push forward.  Come on everyone, LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER!

    • Caroline –

Of course and love it. It’s all about the ending amount (as long as the companies are sound fundamentally and have no risk of cuts)! I bet your amount is growing, too, each and every month. Earn, Save, Invest, repeat.

    • Daze –

Of course, no need to say thanks. Excited for November, to see if it’s greater than this past month, given it’s also a nice month. I’m sure they’ll start rolling in towards the end of the month!! Thanks again Daze.

  5. I’m also hoping CAH can turn it around! No DRIP for me but I did average down a few months ago when it was at $58 compared to my initial cost of $72. Not worried with their payment history. Thanks for having me on the list again and congrats to everyone else!

    • BI –

No problem BI!! Glad to include you. Different stages, different timelines, different goals, different milestones – that’s what I love about it. I remember all prior stages and I am eagerly/enjoying reading the stages from others that I’ll be getting to.

      -Lanny

  6. Wow! Over $18,000 in what’s generally seen as a slower month for most of us is just incredible. Keep it up everyone! And, of course, thanks to Bert and Lanny for putting this together.

  7. Thanks for the shout out, guys.
Collectively pulling in +$18k is quite a feat. It demonstrates exactly how potent OUR strategy is. It’s amazing to looking through so many of the portfolios and seeing how we’re literally sharing in the wealth of capitalism together by holding many similar holdings while still having diversity enough to make our portfolios uniquely our own.
    Take care,
    Ryan

    • GRB –

Our strategy works, right? It fricken works. The tax rates are in our favor and I hope they continue to extend that bad boy. The stock market is turning south, opening up value now, as well. Time to get ready to deploy capital and continue to collect/reinvest. We keep it simple and simple works.

  8. Gentlemen, thanks as always for the honor of being included in this post. There are some amazing totals for the “off month” of October! I’m looking forward to the next few months, to see how everyone’s year ends up. Happy investing!

  9. DD,

    Thanks for including me, guys!

It’s a real privilege to be among this great group of people chasing after their dreams. Awesome to see dreams come true in real-time. 🙂

    Let’s keep it up!

    Best regards.

  10. Thanks again guys for making the list and featuring me yet again. I’m honored to be part of the list and seeing all those progress reports. The community is crushing it, as said previously its awesome to see so many different stsges and timelines of people yet we are all on the same path. Not just for ourselves but also for our families and thats says something about this wonderfull bunch of people 🙂

    • Of course. We were pumped to include you as always. You highlighted one of the best aspects of the article. Different people, at different stages, all thriving for the same goal of improving their personal finances and reaching financial freedom. So much fun to watch and see 🙂

      Bert

  11. Thanks for including me in the great list, Dividend Diplomats! It’s really cool to see dividend investors at all the different stages. There were a lot of records and impressive numbers. I like your message at the end about making every dollar count.

  12. Thank you for thinking about me even though I haven’t been as active! I gotta say, These are some impressive numbers that we as a group have been pumping out. Just looking back on the first article documenting our growth really shows a massive improvement in such a short amount of time. Again, Thank you for putting me up on the map and I can’t wait to see what we continue to do as a group!
    Cheers!

    • Diligent –

It’s okay on the activeness, we all have so many things going on right now – and it’s hard to keep writing when life happens, with events more often than usual. Putting the group on the map baby!! That’s what it’s about, sharing and showing the love.
