Growing up, my favorite fast food restaurant was Burger King. Despite the fact that there was a Wendy’s at the end of my street, I always preferred visiting “The King” and enjoying a flame-broiled burger. While I’ve cut back on fast food over the years from my youth levels, I’ll still visit fast food places several times a month. But as a McDonalds shareholder and the fact I have selected them as my restaurant category in the Bumped App, my incentive is to visit the Golden Arches. But Burger King made one heck of an announcement over the weekend. Burger King will now offer a $5 per month coffee subscription! As a coffee fanatic, I loved reading the headline and article. This announcement had me thinking…is it worth it? So I analyzed the subscription plan from the perspective of four different coffee drinkers to see: The Coffee Snob, the Daily Coffee Buyer, the Keurig Lover, and the Home Brewer.

Bert’s June Dividend Income Summary
Half of 2018 is officially in the books! I am also another year older and have one year left to enjoy my 20s. 2018 has been an investing year unlike any other in the past. There have been a ton of great buying opportunities and companies are providing shareholders with some crazy dividend increases and share buyback programs. Lanny and I are having a blast following the twists and turns of Mr. Market. Now that another month has come to a close, it is time to take a step back and review the dividends received during the month. Here is my June dividend income summary!

Lanny’s July Dividend Stock Watch List
Now that June is over, it’s time to turn the page to July. For some reason, with each new month, I have a feeling that it brings new opportunities. By opportunities, I mean new stocks to have on the watch list, as there usually is never two consecutive watch lists that are the same. I would say that goes to show you how much activity can happen, in such a short period of time. Lebron just left Cleveland, again, and turning to look at stocks helps ease the pain of seeing a fellow-Akron-born native depart. Bert’s Recent Stock Purchase – Starbucks (SBUX)
The month of June was coming to a close and I was looking for another investment opportunity. For the second half of the month, I had one of the most publicized companies on my watch list. The company’s stock price had began to fall. Having added to my position earlier in the year at a higher price, I was instantly excited for the opportunity to add to this coffee giant. Another month, another installment of our monthly series highlighting one of our favorite aspects about dividend investing….DIVIDEND INCREASES! Looking back, it is insane to see how fast my portfolio has grown in such a short period time and I love seeing similar growth rates in so many other people in the dividend investing community. But there has been one key piece of the equation I have kept under wraps from all of you…the happening of my wife’s portfolio and the impact it is having on our “Family Dividend Income” and not just mine. Unexpected Positives as a Dividend Investor
Good morning everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and are breathing in the spices of the Fall scented candles and are walking out to the mail box to pick up a dividend check or two. Not figuratively, but that’s what sometimes happens as a dividend investor. You wake up, sign online to your account and see businesses sending you a check for the funds you have placed in the market as their source of liquidity to operate a business. These are always fun surprises or moments each and everyday as a dividend investor, but over the last few weeks, more and more surprises and unexpected positives have come from being a dividend investor.
